dc.description.abstractA high impedance surface featuring several electromagnetic band gaps is introduced. The surface is devised in microstrip technology and its properties are studied by electromagnetic simulation. We consider some variations of the geometry in order to extract information on the influence of geometrical elements on the position and width of the different frequency stop bands. We outline possible applications, including a switched surface or sensors.en_US
