dc.description.abstractThis paper presents a solution for the design of a multifunctional siren for emergency services (police, ambulance, special services etc). Such a device should have two functionalities: both as a voice amplifier and as a tone generator. When designing such a circuit, a D class amplifier has been considered for the amplification and a PIC microcontroller for the tone generation. A switch should be used to interchange these functionalities and user buttons must be provided for configuring the tone libraries.en_US
