This paper presents an in-depth investigation of DWT- based OFDM, by analyzing the influence of the wavelets mother choice on the BER performance for the transmission in a flat fading channel. Simulations made show the importance of this parameter, especially if the channel is rapidly changing in time. The best results under the considered scenario are provided by the Haar wavelet, while for other families (Daubechies, Symmlet, Coiflet), the number of vanishing moments of the wavelets mother may be relevant to a certain extent.en_US
