New polythioetherimides with amide linkages were prepared by polyaddition reaction of 2,2’-(1,4-phenylene)-bis(2-oxazoline) (PBO) with bis(2-mercaptoethyl)ether and various bismaleimides and biscitraconimides. Structures of copolymers were confirmed by IR, 1H-RMN and 13C-RMN spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The thermal behavior of bismaleimides and biscitraconimides in the presence of PBO was investigated by DSC. The polymers were characterized by the thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), thermooptical analysis (TOA) and solubility measurements.en_US
