| Abstract: | This paper describes an experiment of isolated word recognition in Romanian using the backpropagation algorithm as the main training tool. The paper is organized as follow: in the first section some theoretical aspects of neural networks are reviewed; in the second section is presented the recognition algorithm; the third section presents experimental results based on a small size vocabulary application for isolated Romanian words recognition. |
