| Abstract: | The Location Retrieval Device (LoRD) is a powerful, versatile and accurate warning system. Designed to be integrated on a car, it instantly reacts in case of an accident, providing the rescue units with extremely useful information about the coordinates, speed of the car, the structural integrity and temperature of the cockpit. The project is based on two-way SMS messaging between the main components: the mobile LoRD modules, that send the information using a mobile phone, and the base station that receives these messages, and also manages and configures the modules. |
