Abstract: | In recent times, pragmatics has made more and more room for the theory of discourse. The switch in emphasis was triggered, amid other phenomena and theories, by the flourishing pf the communication theory, with its tenet that the process of communication is quite unstable and unpredictable. It is not only the context the one which distorts the transmis sion of messages, but also the mood of those involved in the process of communication, or what is called subtle communication. In my article, I am especially interested in the repercussions of the theory of discourse on another blooming theory, namely the theory of the performative acts, or the theory of performance. Thus, my research is inter theoretical but it does not trespass the borders of other paradigms. It will maintain itself within the frontiers of this versatile and morphotic paradigm: the paradi gm of discourses with its intersemiotic skeleton. |
