dc.description.abstractDevelop a SCADA platform (hardware and software) for integrating automatic control: designed and implemented SCADA system for COLTERM thermal power plant South of Timisoara. Give an important head-start for control and simulator implementation using SCADA platform based on applications employing world-wide National Instruments and Siemens Automation technologies. Mathematical models for thermal power plants having as core three fitted models (loworder model, complex physical law based model, interpretation model). Design, implement and test two control strategies (3 feedback PI cascade control, multivariable gain-scheduled decoupled control) with integration capability in the centralized SCADA system. Design and implement two platforms for control solution testing using modern concepts like hardware-in-the-loop and real-time with industrial targets. Conduct a risk analysis of a wireless control scenario on process actuators in SCADA system when cables and busses are not a feasible solution.-
