dc.description.abstractThis paper aims on improving the dynamic time response of a wind energy conversion system (WECS) connected to IEEE Nine bus system using Permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) in closed loop controlled Active Power Filter with FLC. Shunt active filter (SAF) is the family of FACTS device which is implemented with voltage source inverter (VSI) ,to generate switching pulses using Fuzzy logic controller. Open loop controlled nine bus system with change in load is simulated in MATLAB. The simulation results with PI and FLC based SAF are compared and the corresponding time-domain parameters are presented. The results indicate that Fuzzy Logic controlled system has better response than PI controlled system.en_US
