Abstract:
This paper presents the main issues and priority measures of sustainable development of the Anina city, Caras-Severin County, starting from the analysis of its economical and social status. The analysis requires consideration of the natural heritage area development, including the tourism, utilities infrastructure, social services infrastructure, population and labor force and the level of the economic development. In the absence of a sustainable development strategy based onto the putting into value of the natural and human local community resources which are likely to be disengaged from the economic life of the region. The priority measures presented are grouped into different strategic directions: transportation and public utilities infrastructure, business and tourism development, environmental infrastructure as well as social, cultural infrastructure and public administration
