dc.description.abstract This study is pointing out the main pressures on the river habitats along the Danube in Romania, like hydropower, agriculture, gravel extraction and navigation. The hydrotechnical works needed for these issues led to major connectivity issues, to important floodplain losses and to other river habitat alterations. The study is also providing a brief analysis of the main drivers for river restoration in Romania. en_US
