dc.description.abstract In the normal working of a knitting machine, defects appear in the fabric because of the uninterception of the yarn by the needle. Their causes, excluding the irreversible defects, are the mechanical or electrical shocks, vibrations etc. In this paper it is presented a study about mechanical vibrations produced by the knitting machine Matec, with the purpose to estimate the probability of uninterception of the yarn by the knitting needle. There were considered a few of the main normal working regimes of the machine. en_US
