dc.description.abstract This work presents two methods for generating test signals that encounter a certain degree of transitory amplitude changes similar to those met in real leak signals. A performance index is also developed, based on both the amplitude and the argument of the cross-correlation function, for evaluating the effects of these abrupt changes on different algorithms’ estimation results in leak location systems. en_US
