Abstract:
Instantaneous signal values in regular PSpice simulations can be obtained with PSpice functions using specific PSpice techniques (products, filters) and not by an integral relation and thus the results have significant errors. For a good precision the simulation time should be long. To overcome this problem we created some specialized behavioral blocks. They compute fast and accurately the rms and average values of a signal. Integrals are computed on an interval multiple of the signal period and the computation is done after the transitory regime. The signals can be seen through an adjustable “examination window”.
