dc.description.abstract |
This paper will focus on an important but otherwise underresearched change which
gradually occurred in the propaganda efforts of Islamic State – namely its transition from an
emphasis on eschatological immediacy to one of generational struggle, whilst pointing to the
propaganda magazines Dabiq and Rumiyah. By making an effective use of modern
communication strategies and eschatological themes, the movement signals its total
commitment to its worldview and to the challenge it represents for all those outside of it. |
