Abstract:
The article presented a study on the possibility of
using interval assessments in determining the optimal
capacity of capacitor banks for improvement of the power
factor of electric drives. For this purpose has been
developed simulation test bench and the results are
validated using real electric motor. Proven is the possibility
of using interval evaluation criteria by area under the curve
and Akaike information criterion in determining the optimal
capacity of capacitor banks for improvement of the power
factor of electric drives. The results obtained confirm those
from other authors in the study of methods to improve the
power factor of electric drives as a complement with the
proposed methods for interval assessment, which is a
prerequisite for their successful use in practice.
