Abstract:
In March 2020 with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic employees were forced to continue working office hours from their own homes and sometimes even on their own technological devices. The purpose of this article is to identify the legal implications of specific data security risks in the case of teleworking, from both the perspective of the organization and the individual, thereby facilitating managerial decision regarding privacy compliance and protection of intellectual property. Furthermore, the study opens to new research directions in the attempt to provide insights into the new challenges for Romanian management, that current work trends pose.
